Organizing your kitchen cabinets may seem like a discouraging task, but it doesn’t have to be. We’ve created a guide for you to use next time you decide you’ve had enough of your existing kitchen cabinet storage configuration. Whether you store food items in your cabinets, or bake ware, cookware, and dishes, there are some awesome ways to keep it all together and organized. The following are kitchen organization solutions to help you organize and de-clutter your cabinets.
What You’ll Need:
- Pan organizers
- Cabinet baskets
- Small shelving units
- Shelf dividers
- Spice Organizers
Kitchen Organization Step 1 – Clear Them Out.
Before you can organize the kitchen cabinets, you’ll need to remove everything. Separate all of the items you remove from the cabinets into the following three piles:
- Pile 1 – Trash:This would include empty food packaging, anything expired, broke containers, appliances that don’t work, etc.
- Pile 2 – Donate:It’s a good idea to give away any edible food items or working appliances that you know you’ll never use. You can donate the food items to a food pantry and any dishes, pots, pans, and appliances to a newlywed or a thrift store.
- Pile 3 – Keep:This is the pile that we’ll work with when setting up your new organized kitchen cabinets.
After you’ve separated all of the items, use kitchen cleaning supplies to clean out the cabinets. Wipe them down, starting with the top shelves and working your way down.
